The American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Certification Board (AANPCB) is now accepting nominations and self-nominations for 2 committed and qualified individuals to serve on the AANPCB Board of Commissioners. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing excellence of nurse practitioner certification.

The AANPCB is responsible for maintaining certification standards and ensuring alignment with best practices. The board offers input and guidance into organizational decisions and governs all major decisions affecting the certification programs and processes. 

AANPCB welcomes candidates who:

• Hold current licensure and are working as a Family Nurse Practitioner

• Demonstrate professionalism and leadership

• Possess strong collaboration and communication skills

• Commit to upholding professional standards for nurse practitioners

• Add to the breadth of perspective on the board

• Experience with nurse practitioner certification activities is preferred but not required

Board terms are 3 years in length. Meetings are held in person a minimum of twice a year with virtual meetings scheduled every 1-2 months.
